The philosophy of the Krauthaker winery is based on expertise, teamwork, and the coordination of all employees. The challenges of production “under the open sky” require discipline, experience, and continuous improvement, while the knowledge of older generations is passed on to younger ones, preserving excellence and innovation. The winery’s vineyards and cellar continuously confirm their quality through numerous national and international awards. The winery’s founder, Vlado Krauthaker, has twice been named Croatia’s Best Winemaker and holds the title of Wine Knight. These recognitions confirm his long-standing dedication to quality, innovation, and the winemaking tradition.

Krauthaker Winery uses a unique meteorological station, the only one in Croatia located directly in a vineyard, which continuously monitors the vineyard’s microclimate. Precise data on air and soil temperature, rainfall, and hours of sunshine enables optimal vineyard management as well as timely and high-quality harvest planning.

OF GREAT WINES
The Kutjevo wine region, located in the former Roman Vallis Aurea, today’s Golden Valley, has been shaped by a thousand-year tradition and the layers of the ancient Pannonian Sea. Sandy, mineral-rich soils, a mild climate, and the sunlit southern slopes of Krndija create ideal conditions for vine growing. On the 45.3rd parallel, the same one that connects some of the world’s most renowned wine regions such as Bordeaux and Piedmont, the Krauthaker vineyards produce wines of exceptional freshness, elegance, and pronounced terroir. It is a geographical point where nature and knowledge come together to create wines marked by excellence.
